Dennis Heinbuch

My Story: Local boy who grew up in the Norbeck area. Attended Olney Elementary and Sherwood High School when the Olney intersection was a four-way stop sign. After graduating from the University of Maryland, I spent 38 years in the DOD business arena before retiring in January 2007. In retirement, I spend time trying with little success to improve my golf game and also work as a part-time consultant for a couple of firms.

Ministry Areas: Have been a member of Oakdale Emory UMC since 1976. Currently Lay Member to Annual Conference, a Stephen Minister, member of Pastoral Visitation Team and Lay Leadership Committee. Other positions held in the past have been Chairman of Worship, Stewardship, Social Concerns and Lay Leader during construction of current Sanctuary. Also served on the past two building Committees.

Family: Married 38 years to a wonderful Christian woman, Mary Jane. The Lord has blessed us with two fabulous children, David and Kari. We also have been blessed with a wonderful daughter-in-law, Randi, and a son-in-law-to-be, David Liuzzi. Last but certainly not least is our adorable little red-headed grandson, Bryce.
