David Young, Council Chairman

 Hometown: I was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, lived in Pittsburgh, and moved to Rockville, Maryland, when I was 5.

My Story: I grew up attending St. Matthew Presbyterian Church at the corner of Georgia Ave. and Bel Pre Road. This was followed by four years at West Virginia Wesleyan College ('87) finishing with a double major in Economics and Marketing. Professionally, I'm in sales leadership responsible for the DoD / Intelligence market. My wife Katie and I have been attending OEUMC since 1998, and while participating in a Disciple 1 class, I discovered my friendship with Christ.

Family: Married Katie on May 16, 1992.  We have two awesome boys: Taylor is a junior and Rob is a freshman at Good Counsel.

 

Passion: Being God's tool; leading men to Christ.

 

Favorite Pastime Activities: Being a husband, dad and friend. Anything outdoors, spherical sports.

 

Little-Known Fact: I was a tour guide in the U.S. Capitol.
