Pastoral Visitation Team
The Pastoral Visitation Team follows Christ's vision of caring for one another in Christian love by equipping all members of the Oakdale Emory congregation to care for and minister to the needs of small groups, to communicatethe needs of individuals facing emergencies or the need for immediate, short-term care.

Shepherding
When new members join the church, they are assigned a shepherd, an existing member, who will guide them into the active life of Oakdale Emory - helping them to join groups of their interest, inviting them to events, meeting at coffee hour, befriending them, answering questions, etc.

Our congregation’s Stephen Ministry program equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing crises or difficulties in their lives.
