eMpower
From the time your child is born until they graduate high school you will have 940 weekends! If your child is in kindergarten you have 637. You only have 364 if your child is in 5th grade. Time flies! That is why weekends are important to us here at Oakdale Emory!
Join us each Sunday as our children experience eMpower! Our mission, our purpose is to help your child discover and know God’s mighty love in Jesus Christ! eMpower is an opportunity for our children to experience just that through worship and small groups.
Our hope is that when your child enters and leaves our preschool ministry that he/she will know that:
1.) God Made Me
2.) God Loves Me
3.) Jesus Wants to be My Forever Friend
And when your child enters our elementary ministry and moves on to our youth ministry we want he/she to know that:
1.) I Can Trust God No Matter What
2.) I Need to Make the Wise Choice
3.) I Need to Treat Others the Way I Want to be Treated
We offer eMpower Sunday school for age 2 thru 5th grade during the 9:00 a.m. service. All 1st through 5th graders meet upstairs in The Oasis (the upper level of Emory Hall) while those age 2 through Kindergarten gather in their classrooms downstairs.
We also know that we are just the third voice in the life of your child. You are the bigger influence! So, we want to eMpower you the parents. Below are Parent Cue Cards that you can access to first know what your child is learning at eMpower as well as a tool for you to use to carry on the faith conversations at home. Enjoy!
