Hometown: Greasy Ridge Road, Chesapeake, Ohio

My Story: A country girl who grew up to be a flight attendant based in New York City. Got married, moved to suburban Maryland, and raised a family. I have learned some hard lessons in life, one of which was being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. One of the good lessons is that God works miracles through friends.

Ministry Area: As assistant secretary working in the front office of the church, I feel it is very important to be friendly and helpful to folks who come in. One of our core values is "radical hospitality" and I try to always go beyond what is expected of me when someone calls on the phone or stops in the office. My spiritual gift is compassion.

Family: I still have my parents, who live in Ohio. My two daughters, Jacqui and Dania, are my most prized accomplishments. Jacqui is married and lives in California. She is now a mother to daughter Avery (I'm her Gigi.) Dania recently finished grad school, and is working in Washington, D.C. My best bud, a beagle named Jackson, completes my wonderful family.

Passion: Animals and nature

Favorite Pastime Activities: Riding the tallest roller coasters in the country, the favorite one being Millennium Force, with a first-drop of 310 feet! It is located at Cedar Point, Ohio. Other favorite activities include walking Jackson, and watching reruns of Seinfeld.

Little-Known Fact: I love to whistle.
